Artist Kathleen Moran!

We’re delighted to welcome Kathleen Moran as a new Guild Artist at the Tappahannock Artists Guild!

A native of Northern Virginia, Kathleen’s love of art began early, inspired by family visits to galleries and museums throughout Washington, DC. When she was just 10 years old, she received what she still considers her “best ever” Christmas gift—a Grumbacher oil painting set. She continues to treasure the wooden box it came in, and her love of painting has stayed with her ever since.

Kathleen primarily works in oils, with occasional acrylics, creating largely representational work. She has also developed a unique collection of “Covid crafts,” using personally collected treasures from the river shore near her home to create charming vignettes displayed in shadow boxes.

We’re excited to have Kathleen and her work as part of the TAG community. Please join us in welcoming her!
