Join instructor Donald Johnson on July 28 at 6:30 PM as he continues his Drawing with Colored Mixed Media class series. Additional sessions will be held on August 4 and August 11. Attend one class or join all three for a deeper exploration of mixed media drawing techniques.
This hands-on class introduces students to colored pencils, graphite, pastels, ink, markers, and more. You’ll learn how to layer color, add texture, and create simple compositions step by step while developing the foundational skills needed to create a finished drawing from photographic reference.
Whether you’re picking up drawing tools for the first time or returning to art after a break, you’ll leave with new techniques, completed pieces, and fresh inspiration for your own creative practice.
This class reflects the Tappahannock Artists Guild’s mission to make art accessible to everyone. As part of TAG’s Pay What You Can program, participants are invited to explore their creativity, learn new skills, and experience the joy of making art in a welcoming environment—regardless of experience or budget.
